How to Book a Repair on FixMyGadgets

Getting a gadget repaired should be simple. On FixMyGadgets, you can book a repair in under a minute — either through our AI assistant Fixo or the Quick Form. Here is how.

Two Ways to Book

Chat with Fixo — Our AI assistant walks you through the process conversationally. Just tell Fixo what device needs repair and it handles the rest: category selection, issue description, pincode, and scheduling.

Quick Form — Prefer to do it yourself? Switch to the Quick Form tab. Select the device category, describe the issue, enter your pincode, and submit.

Both methods create the same repair request. Choose whichever feels more natural.

Step 1: Open Book a Repair

Navigate to the Book Repair page from the bottom navigation or the main menu. If you are booking from a gadget card in My Gadgets, the device category, brand, and model are pre-filled automatically — no re-entering details.

Step 2: Select Device Category

Choose what type of device needs repair. Categories include Mobile, Laptop, Apple Device, Television, AC, Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Solar Panel, Water Purifier, and Other.

Once you select a category, common issues appear as quick-select chips so you can describe the problem in one tap.

Step 3: Describe the Issue

Tap a common issue chip or type a custom description. Add your pincode so we can match you with nearby technicians. Optionally add the brand and model for more accurate matching.

Step 4: Submit Your Request

Tap Submit. Your repair request is broadcast to all verified technicians in your area. The first technician to accept gets the job — this first-come-first-serve model means faster response times.

You receive a confirmation with your unique request ID (e.g. RR20384). Track the status anytime in My Repair Requests.

What Happens After You Submit?

  1. Available — Your request is visible to nearby technicians
  2. Assigned — A technician accepts; you see their name and phone number
  3. On the Way — The technician is heading to your location
  4. In Progress — Repair work has started
  5. Completed — The job is done and your gadget's service count updates

Chat with Your Technician

Once a technician is assigned, a direct chat opens on the repair detail page. Coordinate timing, discuss parts and pricing, or share photos of the issue — all without exchanging personal phone numbers.

Book from Your Gadgets

If you have already registered your devices in GadgetCloud, tap Request Repair on any gadget card. The device details are pre-filled, and the repair history automatically links back to the gadget. Every completed repair increments the gadget's service count.

Tips for a Faster Response

  • Enter the correct pincode — technicians are matched by service area
  • Be specific about the issue — helps technicians prepare the right parts
  • Add brand and model — improves matching accuracy
  • Keep notifications on — you will be notified the moment a technician accepts
