Onboarding repair technicians is your primary activity as a sales partner on FixMyGadgets. There are two ways to register a new partner: the Direct Form (you fill in their details) or a Registration Link (they self-register using your personalised URL). Both methods link the partner to your account for commission tracking.
Before You Start
Make sure you have the following information ready for the partner you are onboarding:
- Full name
- Email address (must be unique — not already registered)
- Phone number
- Business name (shop or service name)
- Primary service pincode
- Partner type: Regular or Franchise
Method 1 — Direct Form
This method is best when you are registering a partner in person or over the phone.
Step 1: Open the Onboard Form
Navigate to Sales → Onboard Partner in the sidebar. The form has two sections: personal details and business details.
Step 2: Fill in the Details
Personal section:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
Business section:
- Business Name (the name of their repair shop)
- Service Pincode (their primary service area)
- Partner Type (Regular or Franchise — see below)
Step 3: Submit
Click Register Partner. The system will:
- Create the partner account instantly
- Send a welcome email with login instructions
- Begin commission tracking on this partner
The partner will now appear in your My Partners list with status Pending.
Method 2 — Share a Registration Link
This method is best when the partner prefers to register at their own convenience or is not available for a direct call.

Share this link via WhatsApp, SMS, or email. When the partner clicks the link and completes registration, they are automatically linked to your account — no further action needed from you.
You can find your Sales ID on your profile page.
Regular vs Franchise Partners
Choosing the correct partner type at registration is important. It cannot be changed later without admin assistance.

If unsure, ask the partner about their expected job volume. High-volume technicians in busy areas often benefit from the Franchise model.
After Onboarding
Once a partner is registered:
- Approval — an admin reviews and approves the partner. Only approved partners can accept jobs.
- Grant Credits — within 7 days of registration, you can grant bonus credits to help them get started (subject to your grant limit set by admin).
- Profile Completion — you can edit their business profile at any time from the partner detail page.
Commission on Onboarding
If the partner pays an onboarding fee (configured by admin), you earn 5% of that fee as commission. This is credited automatically when the payment is confirmed.
For franchise partners, you also earn commission on their annual subscription payment.
