Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Overview
At FixMyGadgets®, we strive to ensure every repair experience is smooth and satisfactory. This policy outlines the terms under which cancellations are accepted and refunds are processed for services booked through our platform.
FixMyGadgets® acts as a marketplace connecting customers with independent repair partners. Refunds and cancellations are therefore handled in coordination with the assigned partner and at the discretion of FixMyGadgets®.
2. Booking Cancellations
You may cancel a repair booking at any time before a partner has been assigned to your request. Once a partner accepts and is en route or has arrived, cancellation may not be possible.
- Before partner assignment: Cancellation is free. No charges apply.
- After partner assignment but before visit: Cancellation is generally accepted. Contact support as soon as possible.
- After partner arrival or service commencement: Cancellation may not be honoured. Any assessment or diagnostic charges levied by the partner remain payable.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refund requests must be raised within 30 daysof the service date. Refunds are processed at FixMyGadgets®'s discretion and subject to the following conditions:
- The repair was not completed as agreed.
- The issue recurred within the warranty period agreed with the partner, and the partner was unable to resolve it.
- You were charged incorrectly or an error occurred during payment processing.
Refunds are not available in the following cases:
- The repair has been completed and accepted by the customer.
- Damage resulting from customer misuse after the repair.
- Dissatisfaction with the repair outcome where the device was functioning as repaired at handover.
- Repairs for which no assignment fee was charged through the platform.
4. AMC & Subscription Cancellations
If you have purchased an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) or subscription plan:
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to support@fixmygadgets.in.
- Refunds for unused plan periods may be issued on a pro-rata basis, minus any services already utilised.
- No refund is provided for AMC plans where all included visits have been completed.
5. Warranty Claims
Warranty terms are set by each individual Partner and communicated before the repair begins. FixMyGadgets® does not provide a platform-wide warranty. If a warranty-covered issue recurs:
- Contact the Partner directly or raise a claim through the platform for facilitation.
- FixMyGadgets® will attempt to connect you with the original Partner for re-assessment.
- If the original Partner is unavailable, we may help connect you with an alternative Partner, subject to availability.
- FixMyGadgets® is not liable for warranty fulfilment — this responsibility lies solely with the Partner.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or raise a cancellation, please:
- Log in to your FixMyGadgets® account and navigate to your booking history.
- Select the relevant booking and use the "Report Issue" option.
- You can also use our AI assistant (the wrench icon on any page) to initiate a cancellation or refund request.
- Alternatively, email us at support@fixmygadgets.in with your booking ID and a brief description.
- Our support team will review your request within 3 business days.
7. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days. Refunds are credited to the original payment method. Bank processing times may add additional days depending on your bank or card issuer.
