How to start getting customers
Register as a technician
Visit the "Register as Technician" page and complete the two-step form: your personal details (name, email, phone) and your business details (business name, pincode). Approval typically takes 2–3 business days.
Set up your service areas
Once approved, go to your partner dashboard and add the pincodes you want to serve. You will only receive job notifications for these areas. Start with pincodes close to you and expand as you grow.
Choose your device categories
Select the types of devices you repair — mobiles, laptops, TVs, ACs, refrigerators, washing machines, etc. Only choose categories you have the skills and tools for.
Enable push notifications
Make sure notifications are enabled on your device. When a customer books a repair in your area, you get an instant push notification with the job details.
Accept jobs — first come, first served
Open jobs appear in your "Available Jobs" dashboard. Review the device type, issue description, and location. Tap "Accept" to claim the job — the first technician to accept wins.
Complete the repair and get paid
Travel to the customer, diagnose the issue, provide a cost estimate, and complete the repair. The customer pays you directly via cash, UPI, or digital payment.
Tips to win more jobs
Respond quickly
Jobs are first-come-first-served. The faster you respond to notifications, the more jobs you win. Keep your phone nearby during working hours.
Cover more pincodes
The more pincodes you serve, the more job notifications you receive. Expand your service area gradually as you build capacity.
Maintain high ratings
Customers check technician ratings before booking. Punctuality, clear communication, and quality work lead to 5-star reviews and more repeat customers.
Keep your wallet funded
Assignment fees are deducted from your wallet when you accept a job (Mobile ₹50, Laptop ₹150, AC ₹200). A low balance means missed opportunities.

Is there a registration fee?▾
No. Registration is free. You only pay assignment fees when you accept jobs. These are small fees deducted from your wallet (₹50–₹200 depending on device type).
How far in advance do I see job requests?▾
Jobs appear in real time as customers book them. Most customers book for same-day or next-day service, so notifications come frequently during business hours.
Can I set my own repair prices?▾
Yes. You diagnose the issue on-site and provide your own cost estimate to the customer. FixMyGadgets does not set repair prices — you are an independent technician.
What if a customer cancels after I accept?▾
If a customer cancels after assignment, you are notified immediately. Assignment fees are not refunded, but frequent customer cancellations are rare.
