How it works

Visit the Book Repair page

Head to the "Repair Technician Needed?" button on our homepage or click "Find a technician near you" in the footer. This takes you to our booking form where you can describe your repair needs.

Select your device category

Choose the type of device or appliance that needs repair — mobile phone, laptop, television, refrigerator, washing machine, air conditioner, or other appliances. This helps us match you with technicians who specialise in your device type.

Describe the issue

Tell us what is wrong with your device. Be as specific as possible — mention the brand, model, and describe the symptoms. For example, "Samsung Galaxy S24 — screen flickers when charging" gives technicians a clear picture before they arrive.

Enter your pincode

Your pincode is how we find technicians near you. We broadcast your repair request to all verified technicians serving your area. The more accurate your location, the faster a technician can reach you.

Choose a convenient time

Pick a date and time slot that works for you. We offer morning (9 AM – 12 PM), afternoon (12 PM – 4 PM), and evening (4 PM – 7 PM) slots. Technicians will do their best to arrive within your chosen window.

Submit and get matched

Once you submit, your request is instantly broadcast to all eligible technicians in your pincode area. The first technician to accept gets the job — this first-come-first-serve system ensures fast response times.

What happens after you book

Technician assigned

You will receive a confirmation email and notification with the technician's name and contact details. You can chat with them directly through the platform.

Track in real time

Follow your repair through every stage: Assigned, On the Way, In Progress, and Completed. You get updates via email at each step.

Cost estimate first

The technician diagnoses the issue on-site and gives you a cost estimate before starting. You decide whether to proceed — no obligation, no surprise charges.

Pay after repair

Payment is collected only after the repair is completed to your satisfaction. Pay via cash, UPI, or other digital methods directly to the technician.

How quickly will a technician respond?

Most repair requests are accepted within minutes. The exact time depends on technician availability in your area. You will receive a notification as soon as a technician accepts your request.

What if no technician is available in my area?

If no technician is currently serving your pincode, your request stays open. As our network grows, new technicians register daily. You can also try a nearby pincode or contact support for assistance.

Can I choose a specific technician?

Currently, technicians are matched on a first-come-first-serve basis to ensure the fastest possible response. You can view your assigned technician's profile, ratings, and reviews once they accept.

Is there a booking fee?

No, booking is completely free. You only pay the technician directly after the repair is completed to your satisfaction. The technician will provide a cost estimate before starting any work.

What areas does FixMyGadgets cover?
