Becoming a franchise partner on FixMyGadgets gives your repair business a platform to reach customers across your city — without paying a fee on every job you accept. This guide walks you through the full process, from registration to accepting your first repair request.

What is a Franchise Partner?

A franchise partner is a repair business that operates under the FixMyGadgets network. Unlike regular (independent) technicians who pay a per-job assignment fee each time they accept a repair request, franchise partners pay a single one-time onboarding fee of ₹50,000 and then accept jobs for free — unlimited.

The franchise model suits repair shops and service centres that handle a high volume of jobs and want predictable costs.

Before You Start

You will need:

  • A business email address (used as your login)
  • Your company name and business address
  • GSTIN (optional, but recommended for GST invoicing)
  • The cities or areas where you plan to offer repair services
  • ₹50,000 for the onboarding fee (UPI, Net Banking, or card — processed via Razorpay)

Step 1 — Open the Registration Form

Go to fixmygadgets.in/register?type=franchise, or click Register as Franchise on the FixMyGadgets homepage.

You will see the franchise registration form — distinct from the regular technician registration with additional business fields.

Step 2 — Fill in Your Business Details

The form collects:

  • Full Name — your name as the account owner
  • Email — used for login and all platform notifications
  • Phone — your mobile number for job alerts
  • Company Name — your shop or business name as it will appear publicly
  • GSTIN — your GST identification number (optional)
  • Service Locations — the cities, towns, or areas you cover (e.g. "Bangalore South, Jayanagar, JP Nagar")
  • Address — your full business address

Fill in all required fields. GSTIN can be added or updated later from your profile.

Step 3 — Verify Your Email

After submitting the form, a 6-digit OTP is sent to the email address you provided. Enter the code on the verification screen. This confirms your email and logs you in to your new franchise account automatically.

> If you do not receive the code within a minute, check your spam folder or click Resend OTP.

Step 4 — Your Dashboard and Activation Status

After login you land on your partner dashboard. At the top you will see an amber Franchise Activation Required banner. Your account exists, but it is not yet active — you cannot accept jobs until the onboarding fee is paid.

The dashboard shows five onboarding steps:

  1. Complete Profile — verify your name and phone number are set
  2. Pay Onboarding Fee — pay ₹50,000 to activate your franchise account
  3. Set Service Areas — add the pincodes where you offer services
  4. Set Up Directory Profile — create your public listing
  5. Accept First Job — accept your first repair request

Steps 3, 4, and 5 are unlocked after payment.

Step 5 — Pay the Onboarding Fee

Click Pay Onboarding Fee in the dashboard steps, or navigate to fixmygadgets.in/partner/activate.

The activation page shows:

  • Your company name and registered details
  • The one-time fee: ₹50,000
  • A summary of what you get: unlimited job accepts, no per-job fees, priority directory listing, and dedicated support

Click Pay ₹50,000 to Activate. You are taken to a secure Razorpay checkout where you can pay by:

  • UPI (PhonePe, GPay, Paytm, any UPI app)
  • Net Banking
  • Credit or Debit Card
  • EMI (on eligible cards)

Once the payment is confirmed, your account is auto-approved instantly. No manual review, no waiting — you are live the moment the payment clears.

Step 6 — Set Your Service Areas

Go to Partner → Service Areas and add the pincodes where you offer repair services. Repair requests from customers in those pincodes are broadcast to you in real time.

You can add or remove pincodes at any time. If you expand your service coverage to a new area, just add the pincode.

Step 7 — Build Your Directory Profile

Your public directory profile is how customers and the platform showcase your business. Navigate to Partner → Directory Profile and fill in:

  • Shop name and description
  • Services you offer (mobile, laptop, AC, refrigerator, etc.)
  • Business hours
  • Photos of your shop or team
  • Website or social links (optional)

A complete profile increases your visibility in customer searches and the FixMyGadgets partner directory.

Accepting Jobs as a Franchise Partner

Once your account is activated and your service areas are set, repair requests from customers in your pincodes appear under Partner → Available Requests.

As a franchise partner:

  • No credits required — you never need to top up a credits balance
  • No assignment fee — accepting a job costs you nothing
  • First-come-first-serve — the first partner to accept gets the job
  • Job cap — you can accept up to 500 jobs per year on the franchise plan

When you accept a job:

  1. The customer is notified and sees your business name
  2. The repair moves to your My Jobs list
  3. Update the status as you progress: On the Way → In Progress → Completed
  4. Chat directly with the customer via the platform

Tracking Your Performance

After completing jobs, view your stats from your Partner Dashboard. It shows total jobs completed, your average rating, and acceptance rate — useful for understanding how you're performing on the platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change from regular to franchise later?

Yes — contact support and an admin can convert your account. You will need to pay the franchise onboarding fee at the time of conversion.

Is the ₹50,000 fee refundable?

The onboarding fee is non-refundable. Please review the terms at fixmygadgets.in/terms before paying.

What happens if I reach the 500-job cap?

You will be notified as you approach the cap. Contact support to discuss renewal or upgrade options.

Can I register multiple branches?

Each branch or location should be registered as a separate franchise account with its own email and onboarding fee.

Is GSTIN mandatory?

No. GSTIN is optional at registration and can be added later. It is required if you need GST-compliant invoices.
